Recently, partner Rodrigo Taboada and associates Rolando Zambrana, Olga Barreto, Adela Rodríguez and Brenda Martínez of Consortium - Taboada & Asociados acted as external advisors in Nicaragua of Yamana Gold Inc. in the acquisition of RNC Gold Inc. With this acquisition, Yamana owns the largest gold mine of the country named “La Libertad”, located in the department of Chontales in Nicaragua. The transaction was closed in Toronto, Canada, on February 28. Yamana Gold Inc. is a Canadian gold producer with significant gold production in all major mineral areas in Brazil and with the acquisition of RNC Gold Inc. that includes two producing mines in Central America, the company now has five gold mines. The team of lawyers who participated in this operation was led by Rodrigo Taboada; and each associate advised according to his/her area of expertise: Olga Barreto, corporate; Adela Rodriguez, concessions and environmental; Rolando Zambrana, litigation; and Brenda Martinez, real estate. |
