Consortium Centro America Abogados through its office in Guatemala, Consortium-Rodríguez, Archila, Castellanos, Solares & Aguilar, advised the Brazilian Company “Gerdau", in the process of the 30% purchase of the shares of “Corporación Centroamericana del Acero”, the biggest steel company in Central America .
The Gerdau Group is the world’s 14th largest steelmaker and the largest producer of long steel in the Americas . Gerdau operates in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Peru, Uruguay, Mexico, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, United States, Canada, Spain and India .
By aiding Gerdau acquire shares from Corporación Centroamericana del Acero, we have helped Gerdau enter the Central American steel market, giving Central America a new member that will offer new perspectives, clients, partners, investments and a more global point of view in its transactions and operations. Our office in Guatemala worked with a 10 lawyer team lead by partner Alfredo Rodríguez.
