With the purpose of promoting a better understanding and proper use of the patent system in El Salvador, as well as the importance of the development of new products, Consortium Centro America Abogados conducted the seminar entitled "Industrial Property, Patents and Data Protection Test” performed by associated Miriam Barahona, a member of the firm in El Salvador. The topics developed during the program were: Introduction to Industrial property within TLC with the United States; Protection of inventions and principles; Content of a patent document; Data Protection, among others. Mrs. Barahona, with a pharmaceutical chemistry degree, has conducted several international courses specialized in patents including: Management and Evaluation of Patents (CEDDET, Spain); Specialization courses on International request on Patent examination PCT; (Spanish office of Patents and Trademarks), Spain; Course of Patents at the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO), Washington DC; among others. In a period of eight hours between theory and practice, the event attracted an attendance of more than 60 professionals in all kinds of specialties.
