Five of Consortium’s distinguished attorneys participated as spokespersons in this presentation and gave an overview of the dynamic environment Central America presents and the world of opportunities that exist for international investors, a world that ranges from tourism to manufactory. Mr. Robert Vitale, Chair of the Committee on Project Finance, categorized the event as a successful one in all ways possible: “Our 5 speakers did an absolutely terrific job of taking us through developments in Guatemala, Honduras, El Salvador, Nicaragua and Costa Rica in a compressed time period. As for myself, I was surprised by how much progress has been made in those countries in terms of adopting useful laws and policies to encourage foreign investment, as well as the substantial number of investment opportunities which now exist in the energy, tourism, real estate and infrastructure sectors.” With this, Consortium collaborates in the process of introducing the Central American Region into a globalize world and opens a door of advantageous circumstances of investments. Consortium´s attorneys that represented the firm in this occasion were: Alejandro Cofiño, Associate from Guatemala office; Ricardo Cevallos, Partner from El Salvador office; Gustavo León Gómez, Partner of Honduras office; José Evenor Taboada, Chairman and Partner of Nicaragua office; and Rolando Laclé Zúñiga, Partner of Costa Rica office. |
