The American-Guatemalan Chamber of Commerce – AMCHAM has awarded Mr. Marco Montoya the prestigious distinction of Person of the Year 2008. This distinction is awarded by AMCHAM on a yearly basis after thorough review and analysis of candidates from diverse fields (including commerce, industry, legal, etc.). All such candidates played a significant role in AMCHAM’s objectives and goals. Mr. Marco Montoya, Senior Associate of our firm in Guatemala Consortium-Rodriguez, Archila, Castellanos, Solares & Aguilar, has been actively involved in AMCHAM’s affairs and activities for the promotion of commercial ties between the United States of America and Guatemala. Through his counseling role and expertise, Mr. Montoya has supported AMCHAM’s principal objective – economic growth as key element for progress and general wellbeing. The Person of the Year 2008 award will be publicly handed to Mr. Montoya during AMCHAM’s annual meeting this upcoming February 4th. 2009. Mr. Montoya areas of expertise include labor law, health and safety law, immigration law and corporate law.
