Lawyer Ninoshka Urrutia, junior associate of our office in Guatemala, Consortium-Rodríguez, Archila, Castellanos, Solares & Aguilar, held a conference at the recent Annual Meeting of the International Trademark Association (INTA) in Berlin, Germany . The main theme of the conference was entitled "Latin America and the Madrid Protocol: An Ending Story?" The conference of Miss Urrutia referred to the status of the Central American region with regard to the Madrid Protocol, she explained among others, the benefits of such treaty for entrepreneurs and companies in the region. The conference was on Tuesday, May 20th, 2008 and the panel included authorities of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) and distinguished lawyers from Argentina and Brazil .
