Originally established in 1968 by Rolando Laclé Castro and Antonio Robles Oreamuno, and for more than 25 years dedicated to providing legal services in the diverse branches of law, it was reformed in 1997 under the name of Bufete Laclé & Gutiérrez, which takes its denomination symbol from two of his partners, Rolando Laclé Castro and Alfonso Gutiérrez Cerdas.

During the past few years, partners of the law firm have been actively involved in the acquisition of important financial organizations, the development of electricity generation projects, and cases related to international commercial disputes, like disloyal competition and "dumping". The litigation department has represented successfully many cases of judicial and arbitration processes of commercial law, including some with international implications. Currently, the firm has diversified in advising important project developments in real estate.
