
May 27th, 2010. The regional firm, Consortium Centro America Abogados celebrated its 5th. Anniversary of its founding. The celebration was conducted simultaneously in each of the five Central American countries in which Consortium operates and was transmitted in real time by video-conferencing.
The event had over 800 participants at a regional level with the assistance of clients, government members, diplomatic corps, private entrepreneurs, as well as prominent figures of the civil society.
Consortium Centro America Abogados was founded in 2005, after the union of the five firms best positioned in the region and with prolonged trayectory. Nowadays, Consortium is the leading and largest law firm in Central America, with 157 lawyers and 10 offices in: Guatemala, San Salvador, Tegucigalpa, San Pedro Sula, Roatan, Managua, Leon, San Jose (2 offices) and Liberia.
In 2009, Consortium was granted as: "Best Banking & Finance Law Firm in: Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua and Costa Rica" by World Finance magazine from London. Also several offices were honored as: “Law Firm of the Year” of their countries by Chambers & Partners. Consortium is recognized as one of the best law firms in the region by leading international legal directories such as: IFLR1000, Latin Lawyer, PLC Which Lawyer, Chambers & Partners etc. Seven of his lawyers were recognized among the Top 40 lawyers in Latin America under 40 years by Latin Lawyer.
